BBQ Grilled Whole Sea Bass Ingredients

  • Defrosted Whole Sea Bass
  • Fresh chopped parsley
  • Fresh chopped oregano
  • 1 finely grated garlic clove
  • Olive oil
  • Sea salt
  • Cracked black pepper
  • 1 whole lemon

BBQ Grilled Whole Sea Bass Recipe Method

Thoroughly defrost the Sea Bass in a refrigerator for 24 hours and once defrosted remove from the fridge.

Ensure the barbecue coals are hot. They will turn white and have a layer of ash on top of the coals.

If you are not using a barbecue, you can follow the recipe using a pre-heated grill on a medium heat.

Brush both sides of the Sea Bass with some olive oil and season with sea salt and cracked black pepper on both sides.

Place on the grill and cook for 6 minutes, then turn over and cook for a further 6 minutes.

In a separate bowl add two tablespoons of olive oil, some fresh chopped parsley and fresh chopped oregano, a pinch of sea salt and some cracked black pepper, and chop the lemon in half and squeeze one half of the lemon juice into the bowl. Stir all the ingredients well.

The Sea Bass is cooked once the skin is crispy and golden and the flesh is flaky and opaque throughout, especially the thickest part of the fish.

Slice the remaining lemon into wedges, and then remove the Sea Bass from the grill, spoon over the mix and serve with a lemon wedge.
